Village Highlights

Maple Bluff Homes For Sale

Imagine if the Governor was your neighbor.

That’s a reality if you live in the lovely Village of Maple Bluff.  Perched on a bluff overlooking Lake Mendota, this historic neighborhood is home to the Governor’s Mansion, the Robert M. LaFollette mansion, and many other large and stately homes.

Only 15 minutes from Downtown Madison, “The Bluff” is a small village with its own administration, municipal court, public works, police and fire departments.

Its location on the east side of the lake makes it one of the best spots in Madison to watch the sunset.

Bluff residents have several outdoor recreational opportunities within their community, including six parks, a beach, a marina, and access to the Maple Bluff Country Club. The Maple Bluff Country Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Wisconsin, nestled in the heart of Maple Bluff.  Besides the 100 acre golf course, which is surrounded by lovely homes and quaint tree-lined streets, the club also has tennis courts, a pickle-ball court, newly renovated swimming/diving pool, casual and fine dining, bar and expansive patio overlooking pool, golf course and Lake Mendota.

In the summer, you can send the kids to Camp Ya-Gotta-Wanna, a nine-week program for Maple Bluff children between the ages of 3 and 7. For older children, the Madison Youth Sailing Foundation provides sailing and windsurfing classes out of the Maple Bluff Marina.

There are also several soccer, hockey, basketball, baseball and softball leagues happening in Maple Bluff, as well as summer swim club based at the Maple Bluff CC pool.  Warner Park is close by, offering a large park expanse and minor league baseball games throughout the summer.

Surrounding Maple Bluff are a variety of homes and hardware stores, several neighborhood restaurant and bar establishments, a popular breakfast/bakery shop and department store shopping just 10 minutes away at East Towne Mall.

Commuters to Milwaukee and Chicago appreciate the Highway 30 link to I-90/94 that runs right into the Village.

Maple Bluff has experienced a resurgence over the last several years with many new families making it their home as older residents have moved on.  Numerous historic homes have been renovated and updated; some have been torn down (especially along Lake Mendota) with new architecturally pleasing homes erected that have done a good job blending in with the classic/historic nature of the Village.
